936. The number of Saturdays I get with each of my sons before they go to college. I’ve missed more than I’ve wanted to having a career where I work most weekends, but for the Saturdays I do get with them, I want to make them count. 🙌🏾

Sometimes you have it figured out. Sometimes you figure it out. But you can’t do either if you don’t step into the room.

Relationships flourish when we do the hard work of stepping outside of our storyline to consider theirs.

I’m incredibly grateful for the people who’ve spoken into my life when I needed it the most. I’m a firm believer that there are people in your life who have a destination to get to… that won’t get there without your help.

Refuse to let one voice sound like a choir. Let indivuduals have their feedback and process one opinion at a time.

One of the greatest gifts you can give someone you work with is helping them see greatness inside themselves.

We’ve all got trust issues, but ironically, most of us feel trustworthy. And if someone told us we weren’t, we’d love the opportunity to change their mind. So consider giving others that same opportunity to change yours.

Here’s the Hard Truth About Success: It’s Not About Motivation.Let’s be real: Almost nobody wakes up feeling pumped to eat kale, sweat through a spin class, max out their 401(k), or bone up on blockchain. But guess what? The most successful people aren’t riding the motivation wave—they’re riding the habit train. Here’s a few examples of how they do it:1. Eating Healthy: They prep meals on Sundays because deciding what to eat every day is a drag.2. Working Out: They lock in workout dates because bailing on a friend is harder than skipping the treadmill solo.3. Saving Money: They automate their savings. (Quite a few apps that help you do this well!) If the money’s not in the checking account, they can’t blow it on another latte.4. Getting Better at Work: They spend an hour every Friday learning something new. Scheduled. Non-negotiable.Bottom line: Motivation is fickle. Discipline is reliable. Set up systems that make good habits the default, not the exception.

You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it. - We Bought A Zoo 😊
